TURNING IN

“Yatha Abhimata Dhyanadva”

It’s a moment to pause, a few days suspended in time to turn in, cultivate peace.

Time in the good company of other fellow practitioners, spirited beings seeking for other than the usual outer quest.

A few days tucked away from our busy lives, shielded from the daily storm of work and chores, nested in nature away from bustling cities…

A long weekend to rest and replenish, to rise in silence and enjoy tea or coffee without speaking a word facing stunning Swiss Peaks.

Deep practices will set the tone of the day, in peace through silence we will rise to start with meditation at 8am for 30 minutes guided by the inspiring Cecile Roubeaud, followed by the experienced teacher Joanna Lancaster vocally guiding through her tailor made spicy Vinyasa Krama classes.

Divine homemade food will of course follow the yoga and we will be fed the most scrumptious organic locally grown delicacies… Hotel Balance caters for vegetarian and vegan diets with gluten free options. 

There will be time in the afternoon to lounge, swim, go on a hike, read, nap or else.
We, are looking forward to steaming up in the sauna and immersing ourselves in the natural pool.

The classes will resume in the late afternoon with philosophy, tinted with modern psychology, Joanna’s other passion beside Asana and a long grounding Yin Class that Cecile is an expert at. The topic of “Inner Work” will be visited in all classes, we will seek to understand what is the idea of turning in, how does one look inside, what can one tune into through the core of one’s beings…

“Visiting or revisiting the Principle of Tristana” Breath, Bandha, Drishti, how to integrate it into practice and what does the principal induce.

FREE TIME (sauna, hammam, rest, walks in the forest or take the télécabine up the mountain, visit the village, swimming… hang out in the garden)

Why look inside?

Visiting the Sutras of Patanjali in relationship to the topic as well as the tools of modern psychology that can be applied in a pragmatic manner daily.

“Coming to the mat Neutrally” how’s does one approach practice is key to finding peace on the mat. We will learn to let go of thoughts whilst practising with every exhale….

“A magical Flow” let’s put it all together, take everything up a notch, be playful! Cultivating joy and a positive frame of mind whilst on the mat is what the emphasise will be put on.
